Angela WeinkleCertified Health Coach
Some of my earliest memories surround the time I spent on my grandparents’ garden. They had rows of fresh fruits and vegetables, canned produce stashed away, and five-gallon buckets of tomatoes as far as the eyes could see. There is an old southern saying, “Made with love,” that describes the satisfaction and taste of homegrown produce. That has become the standard for my health and wellness.
Jump forward a few years, and I was diagnosed with ADHD. At that time, there were minimal medications developed to help someone like me. My parents made sure I was giving myself the best chance possible to succeed, that meant focusing on my health, wellness, and nutrition. Several years after that, I was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis, and a couple of other autoimmune diseases sprinkled in. My body was already fighting itself; I did not want to add to the internal battle by adding external factors that would not be beneficial to my overall wellness. I refused to rely on prescription medication to live my life comfortably. Don’t get me wrong; I had times when my health was not a priority, and it affected every aspect of my lifestyle. During those times, I got to witness how every aspect of our wellbeing is connected. My parents were diagnosed with cancer within a year of each other. Their doctors state that the simple fact that my parents focused on having an engaged lifestyle, staying active, maintaining a positive attitude, and preserving healthy nutrition, is one of the main reasons they beat cancer quicker than the average.
I have struggled with my weight all of my young adult life. Through college and graduate school, my focus was on my studies and not my personal health. I have tried different diets throughout the years, but any weight I lost would gain back after stopping. Worse I began to see healthy living as an impossible goal.
Angela’s personalized coaching has helped me set realistic health goals and reach them! I have learned how to make healthy substitutions and find healthy eating habits that fit my life. These changes are not a phase of a fad diet but healthy lifelong choices.

My autoimmune diagnoses were the wake-up call I needed to put my health and wellness back on the top of my priority list. Just like my parent’s doctors, my doctors give credit for my minimal amount of prescription medication to my nutrition and wellness choices. I was able to significantly increase my quality of life by making simple adjustments to my lifestyle.
Living with ADHD and autoimmune diseases for almost 30-years and observing my parent’s fight to give me every possible opportunity to be successful. I wanted to provide a hands-on approach that focuses on lifestyle choices in schools, at home, and work. Strategies that center on school, studying, and work productivity tactics, health choices to get the most success out of medication, and ways to support a loved one with ADD/ADHD and any other diagnoses. My goal as a health and wellness coach is for everyone to have a lifestyle that is “made with love.”
The doctor of the future will no longer treat the human frame with drugs,
but rather will cure and prevent disease with nutrition.
